Im no expert on your 2007 Ford, we need to do a little research to find out what stereo you have in there now. These are hit or miss, not the best sounding adapters, but they do work There are also plenty of adapters on the market that will broadcast an FM signal for your stock head unit to pick up, meaning your Ipod can be playing music to an adapter that plugs into your cig lighter, this type of adapter will broadcast like 98.7 FM and you simply tune your radio to that station. You can get a bluetooth or Ipod interface for your head unit, this way you can play music from your phone or I pod through your stock stereo without using a CD changer. The good news is you can usually add many other types of adapters to your stock head unit as well. So lets start with your truck, in your signature it says 2007ĭoes your head unit have the ability to run a CD changer? If it does then you may easily be able to add a factory style (or aftermarket) CD changer.this would bring you into the 90's HAHAHAHA CD changers are so 20 years ago its not even funny, but many people still use and love them. Also many stock head units have a security code, so once removed from power and hooked back up you need to know the code or they are now useless. Then there are rear and steering wheel mounted controls that sometimes work with the stock head unit. Some head units have the amp built in, some premium sound options use an external amp and some use even another amp to run the subwoofer. There are many different head units and amp systems they put into our Fords If you find the correct head unit for your year and model then it MIGHT plug in and it might not.
